Legacy Consultants hosted & developed the #SandwellExploitationSummit on behalf of Sandwell Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (SSCP), who wanted to put on a learning and development day for over 200+ children, young people and family practitioners to bring awareness around CSE, Gangs, Country Lines, Youth Violence and Criminal Exploitation.

Who are the SSCP?

The Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding partnership is made up of representation from the four safeguarding partners and relevant agencies as detailed below.
 
The team outlined below are equally and jointly responsible for the implementation and demonstrable success of the new multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.

Safeguarding Partners

The Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding partnership is made up of representation from the four safeguarding partners and relevant agencies as detailed below:

Lesley Hagger – Director for Children’s Services (DCS) Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council

Richard Youd – Interim Chief Constable of West Midlands Police

Michelle Carolehan -Chief Nurses of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG)

Frances Craven – Chief Executive Sandwell Children’s Trust.

Impact

The SSCP have given outstanding evaluation of the training. See footage from the training event. We were also able to do an effective training needs analysis.

Our approach

Our approach was to work alongside, the partnership and co-produce, a learning event that would meet their objectives and training needs. We weaved in our values-based approach to ensure that the event was informative, thought provoking and enjoyable.
We spent quality time working alongside SSCP listening attentively to their needs and requirements to ensure what we proposed and developed would meet and hit their objectives.
