Our approach

Their problem was trying to understand the high drop out of BAME candidates at the interview stage and challenges of the diversity of their workforce when it comes to race. Our solution was to host a number of focus groups and training, the first focus group is where we selected representation from the Black African and Caribbean Community, to review their collateral which includes their website, prospectus, job adverts.
To review language, imagery, colours and give honest and open feedback on where they could make improvements. After the focus group we produced a report that had a few recommendations, then we delivered training to their Stem Ambassadors and to their Job interview panel members. DSTL have made several significant improvements and we have an ongoing relationship where we are looking forward to continuing to support and add value.
